Projects Funded

The Cleveland Hungarian Development Panel has funded more than 200 projects, dispersing more than $1.5 million. Here are some of the projects that we have supported:

Funded Projects 2022

– First Hungarian Reformed Church- Large Technical equipment upgrade: 2 large TV screens, Cables, Splitter, Mounts ect. Walton Hills OH

– Summer Dance Camp for Adults- Beregdaroc Màtészalka, Hungary

– Magyar Társasság. Cleveland Hungarian Congress- Digitalization of Kossányi Collection.

– Cleveland Arts Prize Past Masters- Eleanor Buchla tribute

– Global Cleveland – Sister City Conference support

– Four schools in Hungary- two in Debrecen, Hajduszoboszlò, and Veszprém received help with school materials, books and scholarships.

– Hungarian Cultural Center of NEO- Sound equipment for the Hiram picnic grounds.

– Hungarian Folk Dance Group- Akron Ohio- Funds for professionally recorded music production.

– Establishment of Fészek Teázo (Nesting Tea House) for young adults in   Szigetszentmiklos, Hungary (2021)

-Csardas Dance Company, Cleveland.

-Hungarian Academy of Science, Budapest. Research support.

-Calasanctius Scholarship Foundation, Business management program in Budapest.

-Osteoporosis Club of Szekesfehervar, Hungary.

-NASA Cleveland & Hungarian Space Agency. Research exchange program from Hungary.

-Cleveland State University, support the Fulbright Professor who teaches Hungarian.

In addition to the projects, significant funding has been given as Scholarships for undergraduate
and graduate students.
