U.S. Government Resources

Prepared by Lél F. Somogyi for the NEO – Hungary Economic Development Group, July 22, 2008. Updated August 5, 2008.

Invest in America

As a place to do business, the United States offers a predictable and transparent legal system, low taxes, outstanding infrastructure, and access to the world’s most lucrative consumer market. Invest in America is the primary U.S. Government mechanism to manage foreign direct investment promotion. Trade.gov is the website of the International Trade Administration of the Department of Commerce.

Export and Using the U.S Commercial Service

Export.gov brings together resources from across the U.S. Government to assist American businesses in planning their international sales strategies and succeed in today’s global marketplace.

The U.S. Commercial Service helps U.S. companies find new international business partners in worldwide markets. If you're outside the U.S. and looking for U.S. suppliers, our services can help you find U.S. suppliers of products and services.

Going Beyond Borders: The purpose of the video is to make a compelling case for why U.S. SMEs should export and why you should use the Commercial Service to help you. The title has a double meaning: going outside of physical borders and challenging taken-for-granted ways of doing things.
