Imre Jim Balogh
BIOGRAPHY
Imre Balogh was seventeen years old when he joined thousands of other
young Hungarians in Budapest in the street-to-street fighting that
became the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Economic Development Committee – participated in 2 trips to Hungary to develop exchanges in biomedical sciences. Accompanied by Cleveland Clinic, BioEnterprise, and Case Western Reserve University Hosted visit by Hungarian Research Doctors to Cleveland facilities Hosted Little League baseball team to visit Cleveland – First baseball team from Hungary, Debrecen Tiger Kids, to visit the U.S Advisory Board for Ohio University/University of Pecs, International Business Program Participated in International Children’s Games in Cleveland – Team Hungary Participates annually in Paprika, a fundraiser for the Cleveland Hungarian Development Panel Hosted Hungarian Mayors visit to Cleveland, Ohio Co-Chair 50th Anniversary Committee for the 1956 Revolution Chaired the Freedom Statue Committee to erect a
permanent, tangible symbol of the 1956 Revolution in Mindszenty Plaza,
Cleveland, Ohio
