Kevin J. Aspegren

Biography

Kevin J. Aspegren is a retired technology entrepreneur with experience in investing, starting and managing rapidly growing companies. He now focuses on social entrepreneurship. 

His work builds on a foundation of creating a strong company culture, managing the P&L, and a risk-reward mentality of changing direction before the market makes the change for you.  

Over the past five years, Kevin has created economic development and entrepreneurship centers at six universities in the US and internationally.

His goal is to assist in the continued creation of economic development and entrepreneur programs for Hungary, based on a model of partnering with Hungarian Universities, then leveraging students to assist with the commercialization of innovation and consulting to regional businesses.

Specifically, in the near term, he is looking to continue forming stronger business relations between Ohio and Hungary, meet political contacts in the new Gordon Bajnai administration, meet transitioning US State Department staffers, and leverage existing contacts in Hungary to create stronger ties, while continuing to work to leverage the assets of the Charles Simonyi Center in Pécs to improve business, education, and entrepreneur culture in Hungary.

Currently, Mr. Aspegren and his family spend time around the world building regional transformational programs on the premise of educating students and impacting communities.
